A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S
PARTICIPATION IN THE TARRANT COUNTY BOND PRO-
GRAM FOR 2005 FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF BAKER
BLVD. FROM BOOTH GALLOWAY TO HWY. 26.
WHEREAS, funds have been made available through Tarrant County and Texas Department of
Transportation (TxDot) to reconstruct Baker Blvd (Hwy. 183) from Booth Calloway Rd. to Hwy. 26; and
WHEREAS, the State of Texas, acting by and through the Texas Department of Transportation, has
been requested by the City of Richland Hills to contribute 80% of the total project funds to reconstruct
Baker Blvd.; and
WHEREAS, Tarrant County is in the process of implementing a bond program for the cities in
Tarrant County and has agreed to provide 10% of the total program costs; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, desires by this resolution to
accept the terms that Tarrant County has proposed and is, by this resolution, submitting to Tarrant County
the reconstruction of Baker Bivd. from Booth Calloway Rd. to Hwy. 26.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
• RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
I.
That the City Council hereby accepts the provisions of Tarrant County for the reconstruction of
Baker Blvd. between Hwy. 26 and Booth Calloway Rd. within the City of Richland Hills, Tarrant County,
Texas.
Be it further resolved that the City Council hereby authorizes the participation of TxDot to
contribute 80% and Tarrant County to contribute 10% of the total project funds for the aforesaid roadway
improvement project, as stated in this resolution.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, by a vote
of 5 ayes, 0 nays and ~ abstentions this ~ ~ day of SEPT . 2005
