ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY CHANGING THE ZONING OF THAT
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY SUBJECT OF ZONING
CASE 61 -23 LOCATED ON THE WESTERLY SIDE OF
NORTH ARDEN DRIVE SOUTH ON FREER STREET
FROM A -1 -1 TO R -1 -5000.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Planning Commission of the City of
Temple City at its regular meeting held in the City Hall,
9664 East Las Tunas Drive, Temple City, California, on Feb-
ruary 19, 1962, adopted its Resolution No. 62 -11PC, wherein
it recommended a change of zone from A -1 -1 to R-1-5000 on the
subject real property located on the westerly side of North
Arden Drive, south of Freer Street, which real property is
legally described as follows:
That portion of Lot 22 of the western two - thirds (2/3)
of the Rancho San Francisquito in the county of Los
Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in
Book 42, pages 93 and 94, of Miscellaneous Records of
said county, described as follows:
Beginning at the NW corner of said lot, thence along
the westerly . line of said lot South 9° 50' 15" east
359.00 feet; thence parallel with the northerly line
of said lot North 80° 03' 05" east 486.42 feet to the
easterly line of the land described in Certificate of
Title No. EM -46440 on file in the office of the
Registrar of Land Titles of said county; thence con-
tinuing North 800 03' 05" east a distance of 90.00
feet to the true point of beginning for this descrip-
tion; thence parallel with said westerly line of said
lot North 9° 50' 15" west 208.00 feet, then parallel
with said northerly line South 80° 03' 05" west 90.00
feet to the said easterly line of said Certificate of
Title No. EM- 46440; thence along said easterly line
North 9° 50' 15" west 151.00 feet to said northerly
line of said lot; thence along said northerly line
North 80° 03' 05" east 190.08 feet to the easterly
line of the land described in Certificate of Title
No. 1E -75125 on file in the office of the Registrar
of Land Titles of said county; thence along said last
mentioned easterly line South 9° 50' 15" east 359.00
feet to the easterly prolongation of that certain
course recited above as "North 80° 03' 05" east 90.00
feet "; thence along said easterly prolongation South
80° 03' 05" west 100.08 feet to the true point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. Resolution No. 62 -11 P.C., referenced
in Section 1, immediately above, fully and accurately describes
each and every step taken by the Planning Commission and the
City Council prior to the adoption of said Resolution No.
62 -11 P.C. and said Resolution is hereby incorporated herein
and made a part hereof by reference.
SECTION 3. That on the 26th day of February, 1962,
at 8:00 o'clock p.m. the City Council of the City of Temple
City convened at the time and place prescribed by valid legal
notices earlier given pursuant to Chapter 6 of Los Angeles
County Ordinance 1494 as adopted by Section 9100 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Temple City as amended by
Section 9103 of said Municipal Code, to hear protests, if any,
to the change of zone from A -1 -1 to R -1 -5000 of that certain

real property described in Section 1, hereof.
SECTION 4. That at the said time and place Ken
Topping presented the recommendations of the Regional Planning
Commission, acting as consultants to the City of Temple City,
and advised the City Council of Planning Commission Resolution
62 -11 P.C. and its contents; that each party, who so desired,
was fully heard by the said Council.
SECTION 5. After due consideration, the City Council
expressly finds that good zoning practice justifies a change of
zone of the property hereinabove legally described in Section ?..
herein from zone A -1 -1 to zone R-1 -5000 and the City Council
does hereby grant a change of zone of the said real property
legally described in Section 1 herein from A -1 -1 to zone
R -1 -5000.
