ORDINANCE VACATING RIGHT -OF -WAY Inc of Putnam
WHEREAS Petitioner, Opportunity Housing,
County, a not for profit corporation, having Petitioned the Common
Council of the City of Greencastle as follows, to -wit:
I. Opportunity Housing ,

5, That all of said public way to be vacated lies wholly
within the jurisdiction of the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle.
6. Having taken evidence and arguments, and being duly
advised, the Common Council of the City of Greencastle finds:
a. Closing of the above public way is in the public interest
and economic interest of the City of Greencastle.
b. Such closing will not unreasonable interfere with the
flow of traffic on the City of Greencastle road system.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Greencastle has
duly read, investigated and heard such Petition, and received the
recommendation of Greencastle Planning Commission.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED the public way more particularly
described in the attached Exhibit A is hereby vacated, and that
such lands shall cease to be a public street or right -of -ways and
that title shall revert pursuant to law to Opportunity Housing,
Inc. of Putnam County and for valuable consideration and subject to
the Citv of Greencastle retaining a utility easement in the vacated
rich-- of -aay.
Adopted and passed by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle, Indiana, this day of 1998.
