• RESOLUTION NO. 249-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS, APPOINTING THE RICHLAND HILLS CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
WHEREAS, Chapter 363 of the Texas Local Government Code (the "Act")
authorizes a municipality that is partially or wholly located in a county with a population
of more than 5,000 to propose the creation of a crime control and prevention district;
and
WHEREAS, on November 8, 2005, the citizens of Richland Hills, Texas
authorized the creation of a Crime Control and Prevention District pursuant to the Act,
which was duly canvassed and created by the Richland Hills City Council; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 363.1015 of the Act requires the City Council to appoint a
board of directors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
There is hereby created and established a board of directors of the Richland Hills
Crime Control and Prevention District (the "Board"). The Board is charged with
complying with the duties as set forth in the Act.
SECTION 2.
Pursuant to Section 363.1015(a) of the Act, the Board shall be comprised of the
members of the city council of the City of Richland Hills.
SECTION 3.
This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
