AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE OFFICIAL STREET
NAME OF A PORTION OF HUNTRIDGE DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City of Moab, by action of the City Council approved a Final Plat of Sunrise
Hills Subdivision on May 9, 2006; and
WHEREAS, said plat established the official street names for all public streets shown thereon
including that portion of Huntridge Drive located west of the intersection with Doc Allen Drive;
and
WHEREAS, the City Building Inspector has discovered that applying the standard lot addressing
template to the lots located on said portion of Huntridge Drive would result in duplicate
addresses; and
WHEREAS, changing the official street name of said portion of said street will resolve the issue;
and
WHEREAS, the Moab Municipal Code in Chapter 12.04.040 Street Names permits the changing
of official street names provided that such action be by ordinance.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
MOAB THAT THE OFFICIAL STREET NAME FOR THAT PORTION OF HUNTRIDGE
DRIVE LOCATED WEST OF THE INTERSECTION WITH DOC ALLEN DRIVE SHALL BE
CHANGED TO HUNTRIDGE CIRCLE.
PASSED AND APPROVED in open Council by a majority vote of the Governing Body of Moab
City Council on January 8, 2008.
