A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS
ADOPTING A PARK, RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE MASTER
PLAN AND LIST OF PRIORITY NEEDS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills, Texas is a home rule city acting under its charter
adopted by the electorate pursuant to Article XI, Section 5 of the Texas Constitution and Chapter
9 of the Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire and intent of the City Council to improve the quality of life
within the City by focusing on providing adequate, safe and accessible public park, recreation,
and open space facilities to its; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to guide the acquisition and development of parks,
recreation areas and open spaces within the City, and has determined that the Park, Recreation
• and Open Space Master Plan and List of Priority Needs adequately addresses these concerns.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1
ADOPTION OF PLAN
The City Council hereby adopts the Park, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan and
List of Priority Needs, which are attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part of this
Resolution for all purposes.
SECTION 2
EFFECTIVE DATE
This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after the date of passage.
