ORDINANCE NO, 62 -73
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, ADDING SECTIONS
9107 THROUGH 9109 TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE RE-
QUIRING PLOT PLAN APPROVAL PRIOR TO ISSUANCE
OF BUILDING PERMIT FOR ANY CONSTRUCTION ON
CORNER LOTS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Temple City
expressly finds that an element of proper planning in the City of
Temple City is that corner lots be so developed that they shall not
constitute a hazard to the safety of the general public and that
they shall not be so developed as to create unsightliness to the
detriment of the surrounding property owners or to the City of
Temple City.
SECTION 2. Sections 9107 to 9109 are hereby added to the
Municipal Code to read as follows:
"9107. Corner Lots - Side Yard Set -Back. Nothing in
the Municipal Code withstanding no building permit
shall be issued for the construction or modification
of any building or structure upon a corner lot until
express approval of a plot plan showing the proposed
construction or modification intended to be done has
been filed and approved.
"9108. Procedure for Plot Plan Approval for Corner Lots.
All applications for Plot Plan approval and procedure
relating thereto shall be done in like manner as other
plot plan approvals as provided in Article V of the
Municipal Code.
"9109. Corner Lot Definition. Any lot which is bound-
ed on two adjacent sides by a street, highway, road or
alley, dedicated to public use or not."
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Temple City at a regular meeting thereof held this 23d day of April,
1962, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen - Dickason, Fitzjohn, Merritt, Nunamaker, Tyrell
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
