Council,
I am writing to ask you to vote NO on the proposed Maverik C -Store and gas
station in our downtown corridor. Approval of this enormous gas station in our
scenic corridor would go against many decades of public input and
comprehensive planning which strives to "maintain a safe, clean, healthy, and
attractive environment...and represent a small town feel." In addition, Maverik's
application for a Conditional Use Permit does not fulfill the 12 conditional use
requirements, with specific regdrd to NOT being harmonious with the character,
appearance and general welfare, health, and safety of the neighborhood.
I have lived in McCall, and been a business owner in downtown McCall for over 30 years, and
feel like this Maverik development project is totally out of step with the the downtown maser
planning that has been going on for many years. It would be an eye sore to 3rd street and our
gateway through downtown.
I ask you to vote NO on this project based on its misalignment with our City of •
McCall Comprehensive Plan adopted in 2018 and not meeting the conditional
use requirements necessary for approval.
