AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A VARIANCE TO PERMIT SIGNAGE ON A REAR
WALL ELEVATION LACKING PUBLIC OR PRIVATE STREET FRONTAGE FOR
CREATIVE WORLD SCHOOL LOCATED AT 24860 W. 127' STREET, IN THE
VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Bright Futures of Illinois has requested approval of a variance to permit
signage on a rear wall elevation lacking public or private street frontage for Creative World
School located at 24860 W. 127 th street; and
WHEREAS, the President and Village Board hereby make the following findings of
the Zoning Board of Appeals based upon the evidence presented:
A. The variance is in harmony with the general purpose and intent of this Zoning
Ordinance.
B. The plight of the owner is due to unique circumstances and thus strict
enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance would result in practical difficulties or impose
exceptional hardships due to the special and unusual conditions that are not generally
found on other properties in the same zoning district.
C. The property cannot yield a reasonable use if permitted only under the conditions
allowed by the Zoning Ordinance.
D. The variance, if granted, will not alter the essential character of the locality and
will not be a substantial detriment to adjacent property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield hereby
adopt the findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals as recited above and the petition
requesting approval of a variance to permit signage on a rear wall elevation lacking public
or private street frontage for Creative World School as to the real estate hereinafter
described be granted.
Territory Described.
LOT I IN GRACE POINTE CHURCH'S LOT 2 RESUBDIVISION, BEING A
SUBDIVISION IN THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP
37 NORTH, RANGE 9 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN,
ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED APRIL 27, 2009 AS
DOCUMENT NUMBER R2009-048950 IN WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
Section 2. ' There is hereby granted approval of a variance to permit signage on
a rear wall elevation lacking public or private street frontage for Creative World School
located at 24860 W. 127 th street.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in effect upon its passage and approval as provided
by law.
