MINUTES
June 11, 1996
Attending: Rick VanNoy Max Williamson
Jeff Goodman (not present) Bill McMurray (not present)
Jeannie Campbell Phil Gillman
Minutes:
1) Irrigation Status:
Mike informed the committee that the project was going slow due to the
weather. As of today #18 & #17 were completed. #8 should be done by
the weekend, weather permitting. Turf Sprinkler is hoping to have 9
holes completed by the Amateur. Final completion will be around the 1=
or 2r~ week in September.
2) Additional items:
Max requested that the committee, Mike and Carl play golf together one
day a week all season. The rest of the committee thought that was great
and so did Mike and Cad. The day was set for Thursday at 9:00 am (9
holes).
Jeannie mentioned that we should get some signs made for the 9
holes the irrigation crew is working on. Sorry Hole Closed, Temporary
Tees, etc.
New Business: 1) Golf Package
Carl presented a golf package that he and the manager from Super 8
had discussed. (Attached)
Jeannie mentioned that this sort of package had to be available
to all local accomidators. There was some discussion on what to offer to
the local accomidators.
~' Max made a motion to recommend to city council that for the
hours from 1:30 to 4:00 Monday through Sunday dudng the summer,
June, July & August and the months of September and October to offer
a discount for golf to ail local accomidators at $20 weekdays and $25
weekends. To allow them to have a golf package available. Phil
seconded the motion and it carded unanimously, except for Rick's
apposal to summer weekends.
Old Business: 1) Media day tournament:
Jeannie said that the media wasn't interested because they already have
so many dates lined up to do summer events.
Staff Report:
Mike mentioned getting course yardage's marked at sprinkler
heads. Committee thought that was great. Carl and Phil thought it might
speed up play.
Carl had nothing else to add.
Mary said that catedng the city auction was a big loss and won't do it
again. Lona Bell didn't want to sell her house to the Crandels unless she
got full pdce.
The beverage cart was great and thanked Mike

As I discussed with Golf Pro, Carl Hoss, we will encourage tee times
of between 1 and 4 pm because we understand how busy the golf course
is earlier and later in the day. And we will make the reservation
at the time of room-booking whenever po:ssible. It is fully our
intention to enhance what you are doing by encouraging Boise Valley
golfers and others to travel north (and south) and experience the
beauty and uniqueness of the McCall Golf Course and the Super 8 Lodge.
