RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS,
TEXAS, ADOPTING A HAZARD MITIGATION ACTION PLAN, AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills with the assistance from the North Central Texas
Council of Governments (NCTCOG) has gathered information and prepared the Tarrant County
Mid-Cities Local Mitigation Strategy; and,
WHEREAS, the Tarrant County Mid-Cities Local Mitigation Strategy has been prepared in
accordance with FEMA requirements at 44 C.F.R. 201.6; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills is a local unit of government that has afforded the
citizens an opportunity to comment and provide input in the Plan and the actions in the Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills has reviewed the Plan and affirms
that the Plan will be updated in accordance to the plan maintenance process described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the City of Richland
Hills, Texas adopts the Tarrant County Mid-Cities Local Mitigation Strategy as this
jurisdiction's Multi-Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan, and resolves to execute the actions in the
Plan subject to available funding.
PASSED AND APPROVED by City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, by a vote of
5 to -0~ on this the 9th day of December, 2008.
