CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION FOR
THE VICTIM COORDINATOR AND LIAISON GRANT OFFERED
THROUGH THE CRIME VICTIM SERVICES DIVISION OF THE
OFFICE OF THE TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL; PROVIDING FOR
NOTICE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas finds it in the best
interest of the citizens of the City of Richland Hills for the City to collaborate with the cities of
North Richland Hills, Watauga and Haltom City to form a combined Victim Assistance Liaison
Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills, Texas has applied or wishes to apply to the
Crime Victim Services Division of the Office of the Texas Attorney General (hereinafter referred
to as "OAG"), for the Victim Coordinator and Liaison Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills City Council has considered
and supports the Application filed or to be filed with the OAG; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Richland Hills wishes to designate the individual
who will act as the "Authorized Official" for purposes such grant application;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
APPROVAL OF GRANT APPLICATION
The City Council of the City of Richland Hills approves the submission of the attached
Application to the Crime Victim Services Division of the OAG.
SECTION 2.
APPOINTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICIAL FOR GRANT
The City Council of the City of Richland Hills approves and designates the employee
named herein as the Authorized Official, for purposes of applying for, accepting, rejecting,
altering, or terminating such grant application and grant. Such authorized individual is given the
authority to sign all grant adjustment requests, inventory reports, progress reports and financial
reports or any other official documents related to the grant on behalf of the grantee:

SECTION 3.
NOTICE
Upon adoption of this Resolution, the City Secretary is directed to give notice of this
resolution in the manner required by law.
SECTION 4.
AUTHORIZATION OF NECESSARY ACTIONS
The Mayor and the City Secretary, in consultation with the City Attorney, are authorized
and directed to take all actions necessary to effectuate this resolution.
SECTION 5.
EFFECTIVE DATE
This Resolution shall be effective upon 'ts adoption.
