ORDINANCE NO. 62 -80
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AMENDING CHAPTER 1 OF ARTICLE 1X
OF THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE AND
DELETING OUTDOOR ADVERTISING FROM THE
USES PERMITTED IN CERTAIN ZONES
THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1. Chapter 1 of Article 1X of the Temple City Muni=
cipal Code, Section 9100 thereof, as amended, is hereby amended by
adding subsection (a,l) immediately after section (a) thereof, to
read as follows:
"(a.l) Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of
section (a) of this Section 9100, subsection (e) of
section 257 of the zoning ordinance of the County of
Los Angeles, hereinabove adopted by reference as the
zoning ordinance of the City of Temple City, is here`
by deleted therefrom."
SECTION 11. The City Council and City Planning Commission
are conducting studies to determine what outdoor advertising shall
be permitted in the zones within the City of Temple City and what
permanent amendments to the zoning ordinance should be adopted with
respect thereto; that the construction of additional outdoor adver-
tising signs within the City of Temple City is imminent In .the ab-
sence of the immediate effectiveness of this ordinance; that the
unregulated construction of such signs will adversely affect the
public peace, health, safety and welfare; that this ordinance is
adopted as a temporary interim amendment to the zoning ordinance
and shall take effect immediately.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of June, 1962.
