AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
EKA ASSOCIATES FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES REGARDING THE
INVESTIGATION OF A COVERED SEWER MANHOLE
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering
services in connection with the investigation of a covered sewer manhole;
and
WHEREAS, EKA Associates possesses the requisite skill and expertise to
provide said services; and
WHEREAS, EKA Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said
engineering services at a total cost not to exceed $1,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will
be available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, Counb/of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from EKA Associates for services related to
the investigation of a covered sewer manhole at a total cost
not to exceed $1,500.00 is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract.
Adopted this 24th day of January, 2002
and certified as a true copy of the
originals on January 25, 2002.
