AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH SKYLINE ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
2022 OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of occupational safety and health
program training services for certain Borough employees for 2022; and
WHEREAS, Skyline Environmental, Inc., Matawan, New Jersey, possesses the requisite
experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Skyline Environmental, Inc., has submitted a proposal to provide said
services at a total cost not to exceed $11,000.00 and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose. Acct. #:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from Skyline Environmental, Inc. for 2022 occupational
safety and health training services at a total cost not to exceed $11,000.00
is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A 40AA 1- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair
and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department, the Director of Engineering and Skyline Environmental, Inc.

2.0 OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITIES
It is necessary that Carteret provide the following assistance in a timely manner, so as not to
delay in the pertbmrance of the aforementioned Scope of Services:
• Designate an authorized representative to provide prompt assistance at Carteret.
• Provide facilities deemed suitable by Skyline to provide the on -site safety training.
• Provide Skyline personnel prompt access to the various applicable Carteret facilities and
whenever necessary, conduct a walk - through site inspection with Skyline.
• Furnish prompt access to current Carteret site - drawings and existing safety and health
documentation, and other pertinent information deemed necessary by Skyline to complete
tine Scope of Services.
3.0 PROJECT SCHEDULE
Skyline will begin to complete the Scope of Services upon receipt of a Carteret purchase order or
a letter of authorization to proceed with this project.
4.0 PROJECT FEES
The following is the summary of the total fees associated with providing Task 1,0 and 2.0 (per
each occupational safety and health employee training session); and Task 3,0, as described in the
Scope of Services above of this proposal.
* Please note that Skyline is authorized to offer (at an additional fee of $25.00 per certificate)
accredited Training Contact Hours (TCH) and Continuing Education Units (CEU) to licensed
water /wastewater operators for all of its current safety and health training sessions.
