Public Request or Comments: Mona French came to ask the G.C.A.C. if they would consider reducing or waiving the rental fee on the Club House. This would be for a fund raiser to benefit Jim Madden. Mona mentioned that he was the Asst. Fire Chief and had served the City for 20 years. Max made a motion to waive the fees for the rental of the Club House under the agreement knowing that no one other than the Madden family profits and since Jim has contributed 1000's of volunteer hours to the City. Jeff 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. New Business: Green Fee/Membership Rates Rick was concemed about raising the rates because the course would be under construction for a better part of the season. Everyone agreed with Ricks' concern but, because the last price increase was the 95 season the committee felt that this should be given some strong consideration. Jeff mentioned that the season pass holders should be given at least a 10% increase on their passes and the daily green fees raised a dollar. With some quick calculations it was discovered that on the average a season pass holder pays approximately $9.25 per round. Old Business: Finances Max went over the most recent statement from the City and was unsure of a couple of items. The fact that we are only paying $58,000 a year for the Club House which we still owe $325,000 and we are taking on the Irrigation system this year which is another $650,000. The committee was deeply concerned about this and Max said he would go and talk with Jim Henderson. Rick felt it might be beneficial to have Jim come to the next meeting and he would ask him to attend. Max made a motion to request that the City make sure that besides Mikethe Golf Pro and Restaurant Manager; be given a financial report monthly. Phil 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. Staff Report: Mike Combs Mike mentioned that he would like the committee to consider going to soft spikes this next season or at least start implementing it this year. Jeff mentioned that a few of the courses in Boise put up signs that say the following year we will be soft spikes only that way everyone has a year to prepare themselves. Committee asked that this be put on next months agenda. Mary Clemmer Mary in formed the committee of her next 5 definite party dates and the one possible date. Carl Floss Carl was concemed about this coming season with the construction on the course and what that might do to his business and the golf courses. He asked Mike how all of this would affect his toumaments. Mike said that on some of them they might be working on one of the nines that will be closed unless it is during one of their days off. Mike also said he believes they work 11 days and take 3 days off. * Indicates City Council action.
