AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO EXCLUDE
ACCESS STRIPS FROM REQUIRED MINIMUM AREA
OF TANDEM OR FLAG LOTS IN ZONES R -1, Ri-A,
AND A -T
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 8 or Ordinance No. 60-23 is hereby
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 1494 of the County of Los
Angeles, as amended, as adopted by Municipal Code Section 9100 is
hereby amended by adding Sections 724.5 and 724.6 to read as fol-
lows;
"SECTION 724.5. Area Requirement Excludes Access Strips.
In any case where a lot or parcel of land does not have
frontage other than an access strip on a street, highway or
road, dedicated to public use or not, the area of such access
strip shall not be included in computing the minimum area of
said lot or parcel.
SECTION 724.6. Access Strip. A narrow portion, less
than twenty -five (25) feet, of a lot or parcel providing
frontage for such lot or parcel and used primarily for vehi-
cular access to a building site.
SECTION 3. Sections 1 and 2 of this ordinance shall
not become effective for any purpose until ninety (90) days
following adoption of this Ordinance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Temple City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day of
August, 1962, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dickason, Merritt, Nunamaker, Tyrell
NOES: Councilmen- None
ABSENT: Councilmen- Fitzjohn
