AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"ANNEXATION NO. 4 -A, WEST TEMPLE CITY"
TO THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY:
WHEREAS, on the llth day of June, 1962, the Council of the
City of Temple City did pass and adopt Resolution No. 62 -211 giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
City of Temple City, said territory being therein designated as
"Annexation No. 4 -A, West Temple City," said Resolution describing the
boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 62 -211 did contain a notice of
the day, hour and place, when and where the Council of the City would
hear protests made by any person owning real property within the terri-
tory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less
than forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage °cr, said
Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of July, 1962, at the hour of 8 :00
P. M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Temple
City, County of Los Angeles, State of California, said time and place
being, the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 62 -211 for
hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did
hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and
did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one -
half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be
annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public
owners of one -half of the value of the publicly owned territory propos-
ed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Temple
City, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles;
NOW THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Temple City
does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed to the City of Temple City, and does hereby further ordain that
the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Temple City.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of
Temple City is herein approved, is all that territory situated in the
County of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly describ-
ed as follows:

"ANNEXATION NO. 4 -A WEST TEMPLE CITY - UNINHABITED"
TO THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
That parcel of land in the County of Los Angeles, State of
California, included within the following described boundary:
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of Reno
Street (50 feet wide) as described in deed to the County of
Los Angeles recorded in Book 6182, page 25 of Official Re-
cords in the office of the County Recorder of said County,
with the northerly line of Lot 70 of Tract No. 3623 as shown t
on a map thereof recorded in Book 40, page 52 of Maps in the
said County Recorders' Office; thence westerly along the
northerly line of said Lot 70, and along the northerly lines
of Lot 69 and Lot 68 of said Tract No. 3623 to the easterly
line of Eaton Wash as described in deed to the Los Angeles
County Flood Control District recorded in Book 7230, page
110 of Deeds in the said County Recorders' Office; thence
northerly along said easterly line of said Eaton Wash to the
southerly line of Elm Avenue (40.00 feet wide) as shown on
Map of said Tract No. 3623, said southerly line being the
southerly boundary of Parcel 1 as described in deed to the

County of Los Angeles recorded in Book 13007, page 13 of
Official Records in the said County Recorders'' Office;
thence westerly along the southerly boundary of said Parcel
1 to the westerly line of said Eaton Wash; thence northerly
along the westerly line of said Eaton Wash to the easterly
line of Muscatel Avenue (60.00 feet wide) as described in
deed to theCounty of Los Angeles recorded in Book 1488,
page 361 of Official Records in the said County Recorders'
Office; thence westerly at right angles to said easterly
line of Muscatel Avenue to the centerline of Muscatel Avenue
(40.00 feet wide) as shown on Map of said Tract 3623; thence
southerly along the centerline of said Muscatel Avenue to
a line parallel with the southerly line of Las Tunas Drive
(134.00 feet wide) as described in Final Judgment in Case
No. 269,622 of the Superior Court of the State of California,
in and for the County of Los Angeles, a certified copy of
which was recorded in Book 12289, page 277 of Official Re-
cords in the said County Recorders' Office and lying 100.00
feet southerly of the southerly line of said Las Tunas Drive;
thence easterly along said parallel line to the westerly
line of said Eaton Wash to the southerly line of said Las
Tunas Drive to the southerly prolongation of the westerly
line of said Reno Street; thence northerly along the said
southerly prolongation of the westerly line of said Reno
Street and the westerly line of said Reno Street to the
point of beginning.
ADOPTED this 13th day of August, 1962;, by the following
roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen - Dickason, Merritt, Nunamaker, Tyrell
NOES: Councilmen- None
ABSENT: Councilmen- Fitzjohn
