A RESOLUTION OF THE RICHLAND HILLS CITY COUNCIL WAIVING THE
REPAYMENT OF ALL LIENS IN EXCESS OF $10,500 ON A PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 3828 RUTH ROAD
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills, Texas has performed numerous code enforcement
abatements for the property located at 3828 Ruth Road; and
WHEREAS, the abatements are ongoing over a period of several years; and
WHEREAS, the amount owed in liens exceeds the value of the property; and
WHEREAS, the current owner has no intention of developing the property or repaying the
liens; and
WHEREAS, the current owner has agreed to sell the property with any proceeds going
toward the repayment of all taxes currently owed and the remainder towards the repayment of liens;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Richland Hills wishes to see the properly remain on the tax
rolls and be developed and cared for in an appropriate manner; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Richland Hills recognizes that the property is not likely to
sell for the amount of owed in liens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS that the
City Council approves the waiver of all city liens for the property located at 3828 Ruth Road that are
in excess of $10,500, contingent upon the property being sold to a new owner that intends to develop
said property as a single family residence.
