AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REPLACING ORDINANCE 2007 -10
ESTABLISHING THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE COPY AND FEE SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, I.C. 5- 14- 3 -8(d) permits a public agency to establish a copying fee schedule by
way of local Ordinance of the fiscal body; and
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle, Indiana, a public agency, may require that the payment
for such requested copying costs be made in advance.
• WHEREAS, the City established a fee schedule in Ordinance 2007 -10, and it wishes to
update that ordinance.
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that it
hereby repeals Ordinance 2007 -10, establishing its copy and fee schedule, and replaces it as set forth
below:
1. Fees.
a. All offices of the City of Greencastle shall charge a uniform fee of ten cents ($.10)
per one - sided, standard -sized page and twenty cents ($.20) per double- sided,
standard -sized page.
b. All offices of the City of Greencastle shall charge a uniform fee of twenty -five cents
($.25) per one -sided color page and fifty cents ($.50) per double -sided color page.
c. The prices above shall be doubled for all 8.5 X 14 and 11 X 17 sized copies.
d. In the event that the City does not have the equipment to make a copy of a certain
oversized document, the fee shall be the fee charged to the City by the third -party
vendor for the reproduction.
e. 35mm photos or digital photos shall be provided at a fee of $4.00 per photo.
f. Photos or documents on CD shall be provided at a fee of $5.00 per CD.
g. CD's or DVD's of footage from a police body camera or police vehicle camera shall
be $150.00.
h. Zoning maps (full- sized) shall be provided at a fee of 16.00 per map.
i. Construction bid specifications and related documents will vary depending on the
project and a price will be set on a case -by -case basis depending on the project.
j. The City reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee, pursuant to Indiana Code 5 -14-
3-8, for any item not described above.
2. Postage. Those persons requesting the documents be mailed to them shall be responsible
for pre - payment of postage at the prevailing rate per ounce established by the United States
Postal Service for First Class Postage, or shall provide a postage paid, self - addressed
envelope.
3. Payment. Payment of the specified fee, payable to the City of Greencastle, shall be made
to the City office prior to receipt of the copies being provided.
This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon passage of the Greencastle Common
Council and its approval by the Mayor and shall replace all other ordinances and policies that are
inconsistent herewith.
