A RESOLUTION ELIMINATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS FULL -TIME POSITION AND
CREATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS PART -TIME POSITION WITH NO MEDICAL /DENTAL
BENEFITS.
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa believes that eliminating one full -time
Public Works employee and the medical /dental benefits would be a cost savings to the City,
and
Whereas, the City Council will create a part -time position to cover the hours and manpower
required for Public Works would be a benefit to the City overall.
WHEREUPON, On the 13th day of June 2012, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council,
Tiffin, Iowa. Councilperson Ball introduced Resolution 2012 -29 and made a motion for A
RESOLUTION ELIMINATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS FULL -TIME POSITION AND
CREATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS PART -TIME POSITION WITH NO MEDICAL/DENTAL
BENEFITS. Motion seconded by Council person Weipert.
Ayes: Upton, Bartels, Weipert, Ball
Nays: None
Absent: Ryan
With four votes of approval, Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION 2012 -29
ELIMINATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS FULL -TIME POSITION AND CREATING ONE
PUBLIC WORKS PART -TIME POSITION WITH NO MEDICAL/DENTAL BENEFITS by
adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 13th day of June 2012 and approved by the Mayor.
