AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY APPROVING RECOMMENDA-
TIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANT-
ING A CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R -2 TO R -3 ON THE
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 8917, 8919 AND 8923
ELM STREET, TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, AS RE-
QUESTED BY ANTON AND MARY SCHERER IN CHANGE
OF ZONE CASE NO. 62 -39
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Temple Cit
at its regular meeting held in the City Hall, 9664 East Las Tunas Dr.,
Temple City, California, on September 5, 1962, at 7:30 P. M., a duly
constituted public hearing in regard to the zone change request of
Anton and Mary Scherer in Zone Case No. 62 -39.
SECTION 2. After due consideration of the application of
Anton and Mary Scherer in Zone Case No. 62 -39, the Planning Commission
recommended a change of zone from R -2 to R -3 on the subject real prop-
erty located at 8917, 8919, and, 8023 Elm Street, Temple City, which
real property is legally described as follows: Lot 14)4, Tract 3623,
Book 40, Page 52 of Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder EXCEPT
the southerly five feet of said lot deeded to the County of Los Angeles
for road purposes, in deed recorded in Book 1488, Page 361, Official
Records, ALSO EXCEPT the north 135 feet of said Lot.
IISECTION 3. That on the 214th day of September, 1962, at 8:00
P. M. the City Council of the City of Temple City convened at the time
and place prescribed by valid legal notices earlier given pursuant to
Chapter 6 of Los Angeles County Ordinance 1494 as adopted by Section
9100 of the Municipal Code of the City of Temple City as amended by
Section 9103 of said Municipal Code, to hear written protests, if any
to change the zone of the real property legally described in Section 2
hereof from zone R -2 to zone R -3.
SECTION 4. After due consideration, the City Council express
ly finds that good zoning practice justifies a change of zone of the
property hereinabove legally described in Section 2 herein from zone
R -2 to R -3 and the City Council does hereby grant a change of zone
of the said real property legally described in Section 2 herein from
zone R -2 to R -3.
