A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF THE RICHLAND HILLS CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT CANVASSING THE
NOVEMBER 4, 2014 ELECTION TO CONTINUE THE RICHLAND
HILLS CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT AND SALES
TAX AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a special election was held on November 4, 2014 for a proposition to
reauthorize and continue the Richland Hills Crime Control and Prevention District (District) and
sales tax for the benefit of the District; and
WHEREAS, the Board of the District canvassed the results of the election on the 18th day
of November, 2014.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF THE RICHLAND
HILLS CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT:
SECTION 1.
The results for the proposition, which asked voters to vote for or against:
Whether the Richland Hills Crime Control and Prevention District should be
continued for ten years and the crime control and prevention district sales tax of
three-eighths cent shall be continued for ten years
are as follows:
FOR: 1425
AGAINST: 285
SECTION 2.
The proposition was approved by a margin of 1,140 votes and therefore the Crime Control
and Prevention District and the crime control and prevention sales tax of three-eighths cent are
continued for ten years.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall be effective upon its adoption.
IT IS SO RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF THE RICHLAND HILLS CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT, ON THE 18th DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2014.
