A RESOLUTION OF THE RICHLAND HILLS CITY COUNCIL ADOPTING THE
TARRANT COUNTY HAZARD MITIGATION ACTION PLAN, JUNE 2015.
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills City Council recognizes the threat that natural
hazards pose to people and property within the City of Richland Hills; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills has prepared amulti-hazard mitigation plan,
hereby known as Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, June 2015 in accordance with
the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000; and
WHEREAS, Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, June 2015 identifies
mitigation goals and actions to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property in the
City of Richland Hills from the impacts of future hazards and disasters; and
WHEREAS, adoption by the City of Richland Hills demonstrates their commitment to
the hazard mitigation and achieving the goals outlined in the Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation
Action Plan, June 2015.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. In accordance with (local rule for adopting resolutions), the City of Richland Hills
City Council adopts the Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, June 2015.
