A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER-AT-
RISK DELIVERY METHOD FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MULTI-
PURPOSE ACTIVITY CENTER, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY ACTION, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to construct amulti-purpose activity center for the
health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Richland Hills, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to utilize the construction manager-at-risk delivery
method for the construction of the multi-purpose activity center as provided by Chapter 2269,
Texas Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the construction manager-at-risk delivery method
provides the best value for the City of Richland Hills, Texas; and
WHEREAS, as authorized by Texas Government Code Sec. 2269.053, the City Council
desires to delegate its authority under Chapter 2269 to the City Manager and desires to designate
the City Manager as its designated representative for all purposes related to this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City Council hereby authorizes the use of the construction manager-at-risk delivery
method for the construction of amulti-purpose activity center in the City of Richland Hills,
Texas, and finds that said delivery method provides the best value for the City.
SECTION 2.
The City Council hereby delegates its authority under Texas Government Code Chapter
2269 to the City Manager, designates the City Manager as its designated representative for all
purposes related to this project, and authorizes the City Manager to take all actions necessary to
accomplish the purposes and actions authorized herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall be effective upon its adoption.
IT IS SO RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS ON THE 18th DAY OF AUGUST, 2015.
