A RESOLUTION OF THE RICHLAND HILLS CITY
COUNCIL FOR THE PURPOSE OF AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT FOR AUDIT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Richland Hills City Council has a fiscal, fiduciary and legal responsibility to
conduct an annual audit at the conclusion of each fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the contract of the previous firm has expired; and
WHEREAS, best practices dictate that auditing firms should be switched on a regular basis;
and
WHEREAS, City staff has solicited proposals from qualified firms to conduct the audit going
forward; and
WHEREAS, George, Morgan and Sneed has a history of demonstrated competence and
qualifications and the ability to provide a fair and reasonable price; and
WHEREAS, based on the proposals submitted, the references and past experience working
with the firms, staff recommends council authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement for
audit services with George, Morgan and Sneed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS that the
City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with George, Morgan and Sneed
for Audit Services.
