ORDINANCE NO. 62- ,2
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ESTABLISHING TIME
LIMITATIONS ON PARKING OF VEHICLES EX-
CEEDING EIGHTY INCHES IN OVERALL WIDTH
ON STREETS OTHER THAN TRUCK ROUTES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 3306 is hereby added to the Temple
City Municipal Code, which section shall read as follows:
"3306. (a) No person shall park or leave standing any
vehicle having a maximum overall width in excess of eighty (0)
inches upon any street or portion thereof other than upon any
street or portion thereof which is established as a "Truck
Route" for a period of time exceeding thirty (30) minutes ex-
cept when necessary for the purpose of making pickups or de-
liveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or to any build-
ing or structure upon such restricted streets for which a
building permit has previously been obtained therefor and
actual loading and unloading operations are in progress.
(b) Truck routes are defined as those streets
and parts of streets established by Resolution of the City
Council of the City of Temple City as "Truck Routes" pursuant
to enabling provisions of section 3305 of the Temple City Muni-
cipal Code.
(c) The provisions of this section shall not ap
ply to (1) passenger busses under the jurisdiction of the
Public Utilities Commission, or to (2) any vehicle owned by a
public utility while necessarily in use in the construction,
installation or repair of any public utility,"
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Temple City at a regular meeting thereof held this 8th day
of October , 196 2, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Dickason, Fitzjohn, Merritt,
Nunamaker, Tyrell
