ORDINANCE NO. 62 -93
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AMENDING SECTIONS 8100, 8113,
8118, 8119, 8120, RELATING TO FENCES
AND WALLS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Paragraph two of Section 6100 is amended to
read as follows:
"Corner Lot. A lot or parcel of land situated at the
junction of and abutting on two intersecting streets."
SECTION 2. The first paragraph of Section 8113 is amended
to read as follows:
"8113.. Regulations for Fences and Walls in A -1, A -1 -P,
A -2, A -2 -H, A -3, A74, A -5, A -C, R -1, R -1 -P, R -2, R -3 R -4, R -5, R -A
or R -A -P Zones. No fence, yard wall or retaining wall shall be
erected, constructed or maintained or permitted to be erected, con-
structed or maintained in the A -1, A -1 -P, A -2, A -2 -H, A -3, A -4, A -5,
A -C, R -1, R -1 -P, R -2, R -3, R -4, R -5, R-A or R -A -P zones unless it
conforms with the following regulations :"
SECTION 3. Section 8118 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"8118. Permit Rec,uired. No person shall build, erect,
construct, enlarge, relocate or structurally alter any fence, yard
wall, or retaining wall over three feet in height of masonry con-
struction or over six feet in height of any material other than
masonry construction in the City, or cause or direct such work, with-
out first having obtained therefor a permit from the building depart-
ment."
SECTION 4. Section 8119 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. Section 8120 is amended to read as follows:
"8120. Issuance or Reference to Planning Commission.
Upon receipt of the application and the fee required the building
departmen shall examine the application and if the building depart-
ment finds therefrom that the proposed fence or wall conforms with
the requirements of this Chapter, the building department shall issue
the permit. If on the other hand the building department finds that
the said application does not so conform the building department
shall refer the application to the Planning Commission with its re-
port."
