AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAY OF MOREAU
DRIVE IN THE BLOCK FROM THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF MOREAU
DRIVE AND SOUTH LINE OUTLOT 94 TO THE' CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION

it OUTLOT 94 IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY PAVING WITH
j PENETRATION BITUMINIOUS MACADAM
lI BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:;

SECTION 1: Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared by the
! City Council, by its resolution, passed and 'approved on June 8th
1955 necessary to pave with PENETRATION BITUMINIOUS MACADAM the
roadway of Moreau Drive in the block from the center of the inter- J
! section of Moreau Drive and South Line of Outlot 94 to the center i
of the intersection of Moreau Drive and a point 750 feet south of
the south line of outlot 94 and it appearing to the City Council
that said resolution has been duly published according to the law
for more than seven (7) consecutive insertions, intee Post-Tribune,
a daily newspaper, printed and published in the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, and a majority of the resident owners of property along
said section of Moreau Drive liable for the costs of said improve- !
went, and who own a majority of the front feet on said Moreau Drivel
intended to be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a pro- I
test against said contemplated improvement.
SECTION 2. That the said road of Moreau Drive from the oenter of
the intersection of Moreau Drive and the south line of outlot 94
to the center of the intersection of Moreau Drive and a point 750
f .feet south of the south lane of outlot 94 in accordance with the
1 plans and specifications bubmitted by the City Engineer and filed
in the office of the City Clerk, and that the total cost of the
work aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special assessment )
against the real estate abutting and fronting on said contemplated +
improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as
provided in the City Charter, and in Sections 764, 765, 766 and
767 of Chapter 13, of the Revised Ordinances of the City of �I
Jefferson, Missouri 1941, and of the Revised Statutes of the
State of Missouri, 1949, and amendments thereto
i SECTION 3 . The City Engineer is hereby instructed to advertise
for bids for this improvement.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force I�
from and after its passage and approval. '!
