Roll Call and Call to order: Chairman Whiteman called the meeting to order at
7:05pm. Jeff Goodman was absent while all other members were present.
Minutes: Rick VanNoy moved that the minutes of the meeting on Sept.S be
approved as presented. Phil Gilman second. Motion carried.
New Business:
1) Judy Barkley resignation
Chairman Whiteman read a letter from Judy Barkley explaining her reasons
for resigning her seat on the adviosory committee. The other members extend
many thanks to Judy for her insight and comments while serving on the
committee.
2) Seat New Committee Member
Jeane Campbell will be the new Ladies Association representative on the
advisory committee. The committee welcomes her input.
3) Resignation of Charles Denham
Superintendent Denham informed the committee that he has notified the city
that he will be accepting a position at another golf course. Gary Shimun was
given written notice on Oct. 2 and Charlie's last day will be Oct. 13.
Old Business:
1)New Nine Status
Supt. Denham informed the committee of the councils decision not to play
the addition this year. The addition is playable , but the city council wants some
agreements finanized with O'neil before play commences.
2) Irrigation System Update
The lease purchase agreement is being drafted by the bank. The next step
will be to take the agreement to a judge for validation. Jim Henderson is moving
forward with the process and should have the answer in December.
Other Business:
1)Staff Reports
Charles Denham was asked about the new irrigation system and how
everything has been centered around his input. Kuhn is aware of all recent
changes and the new superintendent will be able to work with them to
successfully install the system. If there are any questions that Mr. Denham can
answer for the city he has made himself available to do so.
Mary Clemmer spoke of a 3 year study she conducted. She said that this
year is down from last. She also spoke of the need for air conditioning in the
clubhouse, more storage, and power to the snack shack. The committee wants to
address the snack shack issue at the Dec. 6 meeting.
With no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:35pm.

Comments: Our nearest competition, Meadow Creek Golf & Field Club of New Meadows, was closed to public
play in 1994 and reopened to public play as of 1995. Lew Golde, their head golf professional, reports 10,000 1995
rounds versus 1,000 1994 rounds.
