Old Business:
1) Cost Estimate / Funding Options New Irrigation
There were two options presented to the committee at the last meeting by
Jim Henderson for funding the project. After discussion the committee decided to
pursue the lease purchase option. Mr. Henderson explained that the process
includes going before the court to determine if the expense is ` ordinary and
necessary' .
Jeff Goodman moved to recommend to the city council that they direct
staff to begin the judicial process needed for the lease purchase of the irrigation
system. Rick VanNoy second. Motion carried.
Masco will be installing the upgraded pumpstation this fall. The committee
questioned the wisdom of waiting until spring for the pumpstation. Their concerns
are duly noted.
After some discussion about water rates, the committee questioned what the
golf course would be charged for the amount that it uses. The question has been
raised before and the last response was that the golf course would pay for the
electrical cost to run the Davis beach pumpstation.
With no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:50 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
