ORDINANCE NO. 62 -99
AN! ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY ADDING SECTION 3502.1 TO THE
TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE MAKING
IT UNLAWFUL FOR PERSONS OF ANY AGE
TO DISCHARGE OR FIRE FIREARMS AND
OTHER WEAPONS IN THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 3502.1 is hereby added to the Temple
City Municipal Code to read as follows:
"3502.1 Except as otherwise provided in Section 3503 hereof
it shall be unlawful in said City of Temple City, for any person to
fare, discharge, shoot or operate, or to assist or participate in the
firing, discharging, shooting, or operating of any gun, revolver, pi.s--
tol, firearm, spring gun, air gun, . sling, sling shot, or device design-
ed, or intended, to discharge or capable of discharging, any dangerous
or any cartridge, shell, ammunition, or device containing any exploding
substance, designed or intended to be used in or fired from, any gun,
revolver, pistol, or firearm."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shll take effect immediately the
City Council specifically.-'finding that the immediate public health and
safety is involved in regard to discharge of fire arms.Jn the City of
Temple City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temple
City at a regular meeting thereof held this 14th day of January, 1963,
by the following roll call- vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dickason, Fi4�zjohn, Merritt,Nunamaker, Tyrell
NOES: Councilmen - None
ABSENT: Councilmen- None
