B) Approval of the Minutes of the Committee of the Whole Workshop held on January 27 , 201 4 . C) PRESIDENTIAL COMMENTS D) TRUSTEES COMMENTS E) PUBLIC COMMENTS F) WORKSHOP 1) RESIDENTIAL DESIGN STANDARD S Based on the mobile workshop with the Village Board on residential design, staff is bringing back a draft of a set of “Residential Design Standards” for the Village Board’s review. These proposed standards would establish a series of minimum design stand ards for future single -family developments in the Village. These design standards specifically address the use of materials, roofline variation, window fenestration, exterior trim, and the design of garages . Addressed together, it is staff’s belief that th ese new standards will maintain the Village’s traditionally high standards for new residential design. This fact is especially important in view of the number of national builders who want to develop in Plainfield. Staff is looking for the input of the Vi llage Board before we bring back the final draft for formal approval.
