HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-08-22 AgendaSEPTEMBER 8, 2022 The Agenda Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of AGENDA MEETING Carteret, preceding the Regular Meeting September 22, 2022, was held Thursday, September 8, 2022, at approximately 6:00 p.m. remotely, via telephone call -in. The following were noted present: ROLL CALL Mayor Daniel J. Reiman Councilmember Vincent Bellino Jorge Diaz Dennis DiMascio " Ajmar Johal " Susan Naples Also noted present were Carmela Pogorzelski, Municipal Clerk and Robert J. Bergen, Esq., Law Director. PRAYER, PLEDGE The meeting was opened with a moment of silent prayer and the OF ALLEGIANCE Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Bellino. STATEMENT OF The 2022 Annual Notice was emailed to The Home News Tribune, MEETING NOTICE The Star Ledger and posted on the bulletin board and on the doors of the Memorial Municipal Building on January 11, 2022. Notice was published in The Home News Tribune and The Star Ledger on January 14, 2022. All items being voted on tonight were posted on the Borough's website, ti wwx aricret.nct prior to tonight's meeting. APPROVAL Upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Diaz and Bellino and unanimous OF MINUTES affirmative vote of the fall membership present, the minutes of August 25, 2022 were approved as transcribed and engrossed by the Clerk. ORDINANCE #22-24 The Municipal Clerk stated that Ordinance #22-24 was introduced and ADOPTING adopted on First Reading on August 25, 2022. It was duly published AMENDMENTS TO in the Home News Tribune on August 30, 2022, with notice that it will THE CHROME be considered for final passage after Public Hearing to be held on WATERFRONT September 8, 2022 at approximately 6:00 p.m. The Ordinance was REDEVELOPMENT posted on the bulletin board and copies were made available to the PLAN general public and according to law, she read the Ordinance by title. SEPTEMBER 8, 2022 (continued) Upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Diaz and Bellino and unanimous affirmative vote of the full membership present, Mayor Reiman declared the Public Hearing to be open. There being no comments or objections to the Ordinance, Mayor Reiman declared the Public Hearing to be closed, upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Diaz and DiMascio and unanimous affirmative vote of the full membership present. Upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Diaz and Bellino ORDINANCE #22-24 "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO THE CHROME WATERFRONT REDEVELOPMENT PLAN" ADOPTED was finally adopted. Upon individual roll call vote, Councilmembers Bellino, Diaz, DiMascio, Johal and Naples voted in the affirmative, APPROVED AND ADOPTED: SEPTEMBER 8, 2022 INTRODUCED: AUGUST 25, 2022 Advertised as Adopted on First Reading with notice of Public Hearing: AUGUST 30 2022 Hearing Held: SEPTEMBER 8, 2022 Approved By: MAYOR DANIEL J. REIMAN Advertised as Finally Adopted: SEPTEMBER 9,202 PUBLIC PORTION A copy of each Resolution was posted on the Borough's website for RESOLUTIONS/ public review prior to the meeting in accordance with the Rules of AGENDA ITEMS Council.
