A special meeting of Council was held today at 6 :00 P.M.
and was attended by Mayor 'ones who presided and Councilmen
Farrell, Hosti,and Young.
The meeting was called for the purpose of adopting a
resolution authorizing the Mayor to request a change order from
the Federal Works Agency under Project Ga. 9 -244, for additional
Sewer Lines, the cost to provide said Sewer Lines and the exten-
sion of 75 days to the J G. Attaway Company to complete the
additional contract.
Councilman Young moved that the following resolution be
adopted, Councilman Host/ seconded and the motion passed.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the J. G. Attaway Construction Company was
awarded a contract to complete the sanitary sewerage system in
the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, there are certain essential sewer lines within
said municipality that were not included in the original pro-
ject and contract, the iodation and description of said sewer
lines being hereto attached: and
WHEREAS, there Will be additional cost in said contract
for the completion of the essential additional sewer lines, a
breakdown of said costs being hereto attached and made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS`, the contractor, the J. G. Attaway Construction
Company, will require additional time of seventy -five (75) days
in order to complete the additional sewer lines;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Councilmen .
of the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island-, Georgia, in Council
assembled, that the Mayor be and.he:is hereby authorized to
request a change order from the ederal Works Agency on Project
No. Ga. 9-214 (NP') for additionar essential sewer lines, the
cost to provide said sewer lines . and the extension of seventy-
five (75) days to the J. G. Attaway Construction Company to
complete the additional contract.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the list of said additional
sewer lines and the cost breakdown for the installation of
said sewer lines be attached to this resolution.

The regular meeting of''ouneil was held today at 5:00 P.M.
in the Council room and was attended by Mayor Jones who presided
and Councilmen Walsh, Farrell, Young, Hosti and Town Attorney _
Dutton.
The minutes of the meetings of February 3rd, February 10th_
and February 21st were read and approved.
The Mayor informed Council that in connection with the
proposed Playground, that the -Stubbs - Hardware Company had
quoted prices on certain ,p epee of.Playground" equipment, as
requested by him but that they quoted F.O.B. factory whereas
he requested the quotation F.O.B. Savannah Beach, he requested
them to submit a new estimate. He had asked for Bids for the
construction of the Playground but none were submitted, he had
inquired nf a Contractor engaged in constructing Tennis Courts
- etc., and was informed that-to build the proper type Tennis
•Courte,-would Cost at least $3000.00 alone, this aside from
-the necessary cost of constructing the other units. Received
as information.
The Mayor informed Council that Councilman Slotin had
recently been severely ill, it being necessary that he be
'sent to_John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore for treatment, he
was glad to state that Councilman Biotin responded to treat-
ment and was now back in Savannah, though confined to his
