HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 63-102ORDINANCE NO. 63 -102 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AMENDING THE TEMPLE CITY MUtN- CJSAL CODE SECTIONS RELATING TO THE PLUMBING -CODE TO BRING THE TEMPLE CITY PLUMBING CODE UP TO THE CURRENT PROVISIONS OF THE LOS ANGEL - ES.000NTY PLUMBING CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 8300 of the Temple City Municipal Code is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Section 8300 is hereby added to the Temple City Municipal Code to read as follows: "8300. Except as herein provided that certain plumbing code known . and designated as the Los Angeles County Plumbing Code, 1962 Edition, as published in the 1962 Edition of the Los Angeles County Building Laws, pages 505 through 632 inclusive, and such code shall be and 'become the Plumbing Code of the City of Temple City, regulating plumbing and drainage systems, house sewers, private sew- age disposal systems and prescribing conditions under which such work may be carried on within the City of Temple City and providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of Fees therefor. Three copies of said Los Angeles County Building Laws have been deposited in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Temple City and shall be at all times maintained by said Clerk for use and examination by the public. SECTION 3. Section 8301 of the Temple City Municipal Code is hereby repealed. SECTION 'c. Section 8301 is hereby added to the Temple City Municipal Code to read as follows: "8301. `:henever any of the following names or terms are used in said Los Angeles County Plumbing Code or in this ordinance, each such name or term shall be deemed and construed to have the meaning ascribed to it in this section as -follows: "Administrative Authority," "Chief Plumbing Inspector" or "Plumb- ing Inspector" shall mean the County Engineer of the County of Los ' Angeles except in Section 3 of said Plumbing Code. "City" shall mean the City of Temple City except in Section 2 of said Plumbing Code. "County ", "County of Los Angeles" or "unincorporated territory of the County of Los Angeles" shall mean the City of Temple City. SECTION 5. Section 8303 is hereby added to the Temple City Municipal Code to read as follows: "8303. Section 324 of the Plumbing Code of the City of Temple City shall read as follows: 'Section 324. Violations and Penalty. Every person who violates any. of the provisions of this Code is guilty of a misdemeanor and each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this Code is committed, continued, or per- mitted, and upon conviction is punishable by a fine not exceeding $500.00 or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not ex- ceeding six months or by both such fine and imprisonment." 247 Ordinance No, 63 -102, page 2 PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting thereof held this 25th day of February, 1963, by the following roll call vote: II AYES: Councilmen- Dickason, Fitzjohn, Merlin, Nunamaker, Tyrell NOES: Councilmen -None ABSENT: Councilmen- None 1 1 ATTEST: STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) County of LOS ANGELES ) CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ) ss ayo e ity of Tem3Te City, California I, Marjorie A.
