HomeMy Public PortalAbout2022.02.03 Special Meeting MinutesMINUTES McCall City Council Special Meeting McCall City Hall -- Legion Hall VIA TEAMS Virtual February 3, 2022 Call to Order and Roll Call Executive Session Return to Open Session Adjournment CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Mayor Giles called the special meeting of the McCall City Council to order at 5:33 p.m. Mayor Giles, Council Member Maciaszek, Council Member Nielsen, and Council Member Thrower all answered roll call. Council Member Nelson was absent City staff members present were Bill Nichols, City Attorney; BessieJo Wagner, City Clerk; Kurt Wolf, Parks and Recreation Director; Vlatko Jovanov, Network Administrator EXECUTIVE SESSION 1 At 5:35 p.m. Council Member Maciaszek moved to go into Executive Session for: • Litigation - 74-206 (1) (f) To communicate with legal counsel for the public agency to discuss the legal ramifications of and legal options for pending litigation, or controversies not yet being litigated but imminently likely to be litigated. The mere presence of legal counsel at an executive session does not satisfy this requirement; and • Exempt Records — 74-206 (1) (d) To consider records that are exempt from disclosure as provided in chapter 1, title 74, Idaho Code Council Member Thrower seconded the motion. In a roll call vote, Council Member Maciaszek, Council Member Thrower, Mayor Giles, Council Member Nelson, and Council Member Nielsen all voted aye, and the motion carried. Council discussed a possible litigation issue. RETURN TO OPEN SESSION 1 At 6:18 p.m. Council Member Maciaszek moved to return to Open Session. Council Member Nielsen seconded the motion. In a voice vote, all members voted aye, and the motion carried. MCCALL CITY COUNCIL February 3, 2022 Regular Meeting Page 1 of 2 Direction to staff or Decision regarding the Executive Session topic. Council directed staff to complete the survey of the area to determine where the buffer between Brown Park and the neighboring condominiums should be placed. Consensus of the Council was to utilize all public property for the public and create a sensible natural barrier.
