A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE VILLAGE MANAGER AND VILLAGE ATTORNEY TO
NEGOTIATE A PROPOSED CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE
AND SALE BETWEEN THE VILLAGE AND ANTHONY
GRECO, CONCERNING THE ACQUISITION OF THE
PROPERTY AT 530 CRANDON BOULEVARD BY THE
VILLAGE; REQUIRING SUBMITTAL OF PROPOSED
CONTRACT TO VILLAGE COUNCIL; PROVIDING
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mr. Anthony Greco has offered, in a letter dated December 8, 2000, to sell the
property for Village purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that the acquisition of such Land would be in the best
interest of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Village Manager and Village Attorney, in their respective capacities, are
hereby authorized to negotiate a proposed Contract for Purchase and Sale (the "Contract") for the
acquisition of the Land from Mr. Anthony Greco and to present such proposed Contract to the
Village Council for its consideration.
Section 2. That such contract should contemplate different avenues toward the purchase of
the land, including an option to buy, sale -leaseback, a deferred payment arrangement or other
vehicles that would not increase the Village's short-term debt situation.
Section 3. The Village Manager is hereby directed to report back to Council on the structure
of such a transaction, its budgetary and financial impact within 60 days.
Section 4. That the Village Manager is authorized to take all action necessary to implement
the purposes of this Resolution.
Section S. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
