AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON , MISSOURI , RELINQUISH I NG PORTIONS OF A
CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE MOUNT
HOPE HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION AND LOCATED ON THE PROPERTY ADDRESSED AS 2625 EAST
MCCARTY STREET
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council finds the following described easement is surplus property of the City and
is no longer needed for any public purpose:
A strip of land 10 feet of even width , across a part of Lot No. 42 , of Mount Hope Heights
Subdivision, per plat of record in Plat Book 4 , page 40 , Recorder's Office , Cole County, Missouri,
the centerline of said 10 foot strip of land being more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at a point on the Southerly line of Lot No. 42, said point being 32 feet West of the
Southeast corner thereof; thence deflecting 120 degrees 00 minutes right, 143 feet.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished , and the City does hereby
release and abandon whatever interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any necessary legal
document relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of ground described in Section 1 .
Section 4 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage
and approval.
