HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 63-106ORDINANCE NO. 63 -106 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ADDING SECTIONS 4274 AND 4275 TO THE TEMPLE CITY MUNI- CIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE ADHERENCE TO STANDARDS FUR RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING OF POLICE OFFICERS AS ESTABLISHED BY THE CALIFORNIA COMMISSION ON PEACE OFFICERS STANDARDS AND TRAINING. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 4274 is hereby added to the Temple City Municipal Code, said Section 4274 to read as follows: "Section 4274.State Aid For Officer Training. The City of Temple City declares it desires to qualify to receive aid from the State of California, and that its law enforcement agency, the County of Los Angeles, receive aid from the State of California under the provisions of Chapter 1, of Title 4, Part 4 of the California Penal Code." SECTION 2. Section 4275 is hereby added to the Temple City Municipal Code, said Section 4275 to read as follows: "Section 4275. Standards for Recruitment and Training. Pursuant to Section 13522 of said Chapter 1, of Title 4 of Part 4 of the said California Penal Code, the City of Temple City and the County of Los Angeles acting as the law enforcement agency of the City of Temple City, while receiving aid from the State of California pursuant to said Chapter 1, will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the Calif- ornia Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training."
