Motion Carried.
Old Business:
1. Irrigation Engineer R.F.P.
Supt. Denham reported that he had published the R.F. P. as it
was presented by Chairman Whiteman. It was advertised in the
Idaho Statesman and the Star News. In addition, Denham sent
form to two reputable out of state firms.
2. New 9 Update
Supt. Denham reported the outcome of a meeting with
Pete O'neil, Larry Teufel, Robert Graves, Dave Peugh, and
himself. At the meeting it was agreed that additional
irrigation is needed to complete the project. Larry Teufel
agreed to install 9 more heads in various locations. Also,
he agreed to seed areas where germination wasn't adequate
next spring.
3. Fast Play Policy
Carl Hoss reported that the policy seems to work during the
morning hours, then the afternoon players become more
difficult to marshal. He suggests that this is caused by the
higher handicap, and "First Time" players playing at this.
time.
Comments from the committee were centered around improved
marshalling and studying the 5-some policy. Some committee
members feel that the 5-somes are causing some slowplay.
Carl contends that we can increase the rounds played in a
season by having 5-somes. Committee suggests that the 5-some
issue be looked at more closely.
4. Treasure Valley Women's Amateur
The association presented Carl with dates they would like to
hold the tournament in 1995. They are June 26, 27, & 28.
Supt. Denham informed them of the time of year he does a
deep -tine aerification treatment on the greens. This occurs
the day after the 2-man bestball in Mid -June. This time
frame is not flexible. Chairman Whiteman brought to the
committee's attention that the minutes referred to the first
two weeks of June as being the time frame for the tournament.
Mr. Denham did not object to June 12, 13, & 14 as the dates
for the tourney.
Mr. Hoss informed the committee of a tournament he was
approached with. It's called the Legends Dinner and features
sports stars to benefit charity. There were some scheduling
questions so the subject will be moved to next agenda.
5. Budget Update
Supt. Denham reported that the budget items presented to the
council were adopted.
Jim Townly, Homer Davies, and Harvey Bergstrom were in
attendance to present a list of questions that were
listed in a letter to the editor in the Star News. The
committee agreed to "hear them out" and try to answer the
questions if possible. The questions will be discussed at
the December meeting.
With no Further business the meeting adjourned at 9:25 P.M.
