APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR EXPERT
FORENSIC HANDWRITING ANALYSIS
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret required the services of an expert in
forensic handwriting analysis in connection with the litigation of Wanskus
v. Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, Ren6e C. Martin, a Board Certified Forensic Examiner, of
Forgery Forensics, Princeton, New Jersey, is well recognized in the field
of forensic handwriting analysis and is a member of the National
Association of Document Examiners and the American College of
Forensic Examiners; and
WHEREAS, the services of Ren6e C. Martin was important to the
Borough's defense of the above referenced litigation; and
WHEREAS, the Boroughs Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds
are or will be available for the payment of said services.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as
follows:
1. A contract with Renbe C. Martin of Forgery Forensics,
a Division of Questioned Documents, Inc., 3490 U.S. Rte. 1, No., Suite 3b,
Princeton, NJ 08584, for forensic handwriting analysis in the amount of
$9,250.00 is hereby approved.
2. This contract is awarded as a professional service
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1 )(a).
