HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-10-22 AgendaNOVEMBER 10, 2022 The Agenda Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of AGENDA MEETING Carteret, preceding the Regular Meeting November 21, 2022, was held Thursday, November 10, 2022, at approximately 6:00 p.m. remotely, via telephone call -in. The following were noted present: ROLL CALL Mayor Daniel J. Reiman Councilmember Vincent Bellino " Jorge Diaz " Dennis DiMascio " Ajmar Johal " Susan Naples Also noted present were Carmela Pogorzelski, Municipal Clerk and Robert J. Bergen, Esq., Law Director. The meeting was opened with a moment of silent prayer and the PRAYER, PLEDGE Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Bellino. OF ALLEGIANCE The 2022 Annual Notice was emailed to The Home News Tribune, STATEMENT OF The Star Ledger and posted on the bulletin board and on the doors of MEETING NOTICE the Memorial Municipal Building on January 11, 2022. Notice was published in The Home News Tribune and The Star Ledger on January 14, 2022. All items being voted on tonight were posted on the Borough's website, www.carteret.net prior to tonight's meeting. Upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Diaz and DiMascio and APPROVAL unanimous affirmative vote of the full membership present, the OF MINUTES minutes of October 20, 2022 were approved as transcribed and engrossed by the Clerk. The Municipal Clerk stated that Ordinance #22-25 was introduced and ORDINANCE #22-25 adopted on First Reading on October 20, 2022. It was duly published AUTHORIZING in the Home News Tribune on October 25, 2022, with notice that it ACQUISTION OF will be considered for final passage after Public Hearing to be held on BLK. 6703, LTS. 7, 27 November 10, 2022 at approximately 6:00 p.m. The Ordinance was & 28 - PUBLIC posted on the bulletin board and copies were made available to the PARKING general public and according to law, she read the Ordinance by title. NOVEMBER 10, 2022 (continued) Upon MMS&C, by Councilmember Diaz and DiMascio and PUBLIC HEARING unanimous affirmative vote of the full membership present, Mayor Reiman declared the Public Hearing to be open. There being no comments or objections to the Ordinance, Mayor HEARING CLOSED Reiman declared the Public Hearing to be closed, upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Diaz and Naples and unanimous affirmative vote of the full membership present. Upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Diaz and Bellino ORDINANCE #22-25 "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 75 ATLANT'IC STREET, 160 PERSHING AVENUE AND 162 PERSHING AVENUE AND IDENTIFIED ON THE BOROUGH'S TAX MAP AS BLOCK 6703, LOTS 7,27 AND 28" ADOPTED was finally adopted. Upon individual roll call vote, Councilmembers Bellino, Diaz, DiMascio, Johal and Naples voted in the affirmative. APPROVED AND ADOPTED: NOVEMBER 10 2022 INTRODUCED: OCTOBER 20, 2022 Advertised as Adopted on First Reading with notice of Public Hearing: OCTOBER 25 2022 Hearing Held: NOVEMBER 10 2022 Approved By: MAYOR DANIEL J. REIMAN Advertised as Finally Adopted: NOVEMBER 16, 2022 The Municipal Clerk stated that Ordinance #22-26 was introduced and ORDINANCE #22-26 adopted on First Reading on October 20, 2022. Upon individual roll call vote, Councilmembers Bellino, Diaz, DiMascio, Johal and Naples voted in the affirmative. REIMAN Advertised as Finally Adopted: NOVEMBER 16, 2022 A copy of each Resolution was posted on the Borough's website for PUBLIC PORTION public review prior to the meeting in accordance with the Rules of RESOLUTIONS/ Council, Upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Diaz and DiMascio and AGENDA ITEMS unanimous affirmative vote of the full membership present, the & NEW BUSINESS meeting was opened for public input on all Resolutions/Agenda items and new business.
