IlCouncilman Barry, Chairman of the Insurance Committee, reported that his Committee had met with two local agents and one from the Insurance Home Office of the Home Insurance Company, to regard to a mistake Committee in the City remium. The premium amounts to an additional $8,000 Report. per year on guses . The Company is not asking for a reimbursement on last year's premium, but for an additional $4,000 this year. The City has several alternatives - (a) Not pay additional premium � (b) Work out compromise with Company (c) Rebid at present time or Inext spring (d) Rebid bus coverage. Councilman Barry suggested Council action at next meeting. - ! Motion passed. ii - The following Resolution was introduced 'Resolution ,Park WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson is an expanding City in the ;Board. growing County of Cole, and WHEREAS, the existing City has a population in excess of 32140 : people and existing park area of 1 ,100 acres , and j WHEREAS, there has become available to the city a tract of land of approximately 3'k acres which can be purchased by the city at a reasonable cost, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That application be made under the Land and Water Conservations! Fund of the United States Government for a grant-in-aid of 50% of the total cost of the project. 2. That a project proposal be prepared and submitted to the , Department of the Interior, Bureau of Outdoor Recreation through jthe State Inter-Agency Council for Outdoor Recreation for said grant-in-aid. 3.
