Joe Moseley as Deputy Court Appointment ;► Clerk to fill a vacancy and requested concurrence in her permanent Deputy . appointment. Wildhaber, the appointments were approved. - - - - - - - - - - !� Councilman Whitecotton, Chairman of the Street Committee, presented the following report: Street Committee The Street Committee met in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Report at 7: 15 P.M. , Monday evening, August 18, 1975. All members were present. Also present was City Attorney James Dalton and Director of Public Works Ed Rackers. Following a report by Mr. Dalton and a discussion by Committee 41members , the Committee adopted a motion by Mr. Borgmeyer, seconded iiby Mr. Barry, to file the petition of property owners and !! residents requesting that the 300 block of East Atchison Street i1between Monroe and Adams Street be opened for public use . Mr. AacIters informed the Committee that the property owners abutting the one block long North Street would , at their own expense mat the street without curb and gutter subject to Council. approval. Mr. Wildhaber moved that the mat be laid under the supervision of the Public Works Department. Motion seconded by Mr. Borgmeyer. Motion adopted. Councilman Whitecotton moved that the report be filed, Motion passed. - - - - - - - - - - Councilman Hager, Chairman of the Health Committee, presented the following report: Meeting of the Health Committee was held at 7:30, August 18th,' I with all members present . On motion by Councilman Wildhaber and seconded by Councilman , Manes , bids for a new Van and 3/4 ton truck was awarded to Riley Chevrolet, as low and best bidder. Health Bid on Van - $4,699.00 3/4 ton truck - $ 3,669.65 ; Committee 59.94 'Report . The Committee also approved "Public Service Employment Program # 6", wherein Mr. Melvin Godsey will be paid by the Federal Government for duties as an Assistant Sanitarian. The salary will be $ 671.00 beginning August 14th and terminating on June 30th. His car allowance of $75.00 per month was approved until the end of the fiscal year. A motion made by Bert Koester, seconded b� Phil DeLong, that the attached Resolution approving minor change in the Urban ij Renewal Plan for Project Mo. R-45, motion carried. 2. The request from Michael Riley, attorney representing Planning.' Universal Products Corporation, to rezone five acres of the and John Ihler Farm from RS-1 Single Family to C-2 Commercial was !'I Zoning tabled until the next meeting. A motion by Bert Koester, Commission seconded by Fred Bode, to table until next meeting to give Report . , the new members of the Commission a chance to investigate this !! further. Motion carried. 3. A request from Richard Groner, representing Groner & Picker, to approve Section One of Timber Hills Subdivision. A motion 1i was made by Bert Koester, seconded by Phil DeLong, that this il be approved. Motion carried. A request from P. S. Thomas , Inc. , and Sheldon Gentry, for preliminary approval of Section Four, Westwood Subdivision. A motion made by Hadley Irwin, seconded by Phil DeLong, this be approved subject to changes and approval of Office ii of Public Works .
