Motion passed.;; Councilman Whitecotton, Chairman of the Street Committee, presented' ; the following report: The Street Committee met in the Council Chamber, City Hall, at ' I7: 30 P.M. , Wednesday, May 29, 1974. Present were members Barry, ' Borgmeyer, Wildhaber and Whitecotton. Also present was Councilman ,McDowell and Public Works Director Ed Rackers . A number of residents of the Monroe, Adams , Russell , Dunford lStreets and Romar Place area were present for an announced public ' hearing on the proposed extension of Stadium Drive to connect with , Leslie Boulevard. The reason and the procedures for the second ! hearing were explained by the Chairman. 1 Following the hearing, in which there was a divergence of ,' opinions , the Committee by a vote of two to one, re-approved "Plan F ' , which had been approved at a previous public hearing. Street Curb and guttering of Vetters Lane, between McCarty and East ! Committee Miller Streets , with the necessary grading, paving and drainage, Report , !'was approved. The work to be done while the work crew is in this genera area. Curb and guttering of Kenborg Hills Road, with the necessary igrading, paving and drainage, was also approved. No action was deemed necessary on the petition opposing the curb and guttering, grading, paving and drainage of Gordon Street. Mr. Rackers presented the conditions on the granting of ; Stadium right-of-way by Memorial Hospital as follows : t, 1, The City to do the legal and surveying work, 2. The City to waive the $5.00 per front foot assessment; it on the Memorial Hospital Property. �{ 3. The City to provide a driveway-street entrance for future access . Plan for the long range ij development of Missouri Boulevard , with public hearings to be held Ion section by section. The proposed extension of Dix Road to connect with Southwest 11Boulevard was approved. The procedures in the acquisition of the ! right-of-way land, and/or buildings thereon, or buildings to be erected thereon, were debated without specific Committee action. Meeting adourned.
