Committeel'Councilman Barry presented a petition from residents on Moreland , of they venue, requesting that parking on both sides of Moreland, in the Whole ' 1200 and 1300 blocks , should be eliminated. 'Councilman Barry moved that the petition be referred to the :Committee of the Whole for a public hearing and that Michael Riley, ,Chairman of the Parking and Traffic Commission, be present to explain the situation. Motion passed. Public 'Councilman Ortmeyer referred a petition for a street light, at the Utilities :1ntersection of Old St. Louis Road and East McCarty Street , to the Committee !!Public Utilities Committee. Street ;i:Councilman Ortmeyer referred a petition to repair, patch and asphalt Committee Mohawk, Indian Meadow, Redwing and Green Tree, to the Street Committee. Transit ,.Councilman Borgmeyer referred a petition, requesting bus service in Authority;`the Southwest Boulevard area (Crestmere, Westwood, Bassman, Prim- rose, Dogwood, Tower, Buehrle, and others west of Southwest Boulevard) to the Transit Authority. Present: Chairman Darrel Whole ;;Gordon, Ed Rackers , Bob Simonds , Ted Herron and Forrest Carson, and !. Report ;jmembers of the Committee of the Whole. Discussion was held by Mr. Iierron and members of the Committee ! (as to the need to act by December 31, 1974, to comply with the new i ;!community development plan. Mr. Herron stated that it was necessazyll to designate an agency of the City to administer the program. ;�Motion was made by Mr. Wildhaber to give the Housing Authority powei to administer the community development act. South ; WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson has strongly supported the Drive , reconstruction of the drive on the south side of the State Capitol, of and State WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson has agreed to share in the coati! Capitollof the corresponding modifications on two street intersections, and WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has determined that the bid cost for the intersection modifications total approximately x $80,000, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Jefferson hereby agrees to bear one-half they 1cost of the said intersection modification amounting to $40,000, f.. land i � I ! 254, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Jefferson will make direct payments to the contractor as the work progresses up to the committed total of $40,000.
