Hamacher, Parking Garage Supervisor, to hire three part-time employees who will work on ' Saturdays and Sundays only, which would allow the full-time employ- ,ees to work Monday through Friday with weekends off. He also requested that they p be aid $2.50 per hour. �jCouncilman Hager moved that the request be granted. Motion passed. - - - - - - - - - - Councilman Wildhaber, Chairman of the Street Committee, presented the following report: The Street Committee met Monday, February 18th, 7:30 P.M. Recoviaend that favorable approval for air rights over alley next ', to Holiday Inn Downtown be given, pending submital of plans for Street , expansion. Committee Recommend that Street Committee meet with Residents of Russell Report. Street, in regard to the extension of Stadium Drive. Councilman Wildhaber moved that the report be approved. Motion passed. - - - - - - - - - - 'A petition was received from residents requesting the City to lower Ithe grade on Southwest Boulevard south of the Thompson Street 'Street intersection, in order to improve sight distance and reduce the Committee. traffic hazard at this intersection. Under discussion was the request of Sam Strong, Report . Columbia, Missouri, to operate an Airport Limousine service from the Regional Airport to Jefferson City. Mr. Virgil Wells, Local Operator of a taxicab service, opposed the request . Councilman Nacy oved that the service be allowed after authoriza- tion of the Public Service Commission. Motion passed. The Committee then discussed present taxicab rates with Mr. lWells for clarification. `j Councilman Whitecotton moved that the report be approved. Motion .jpassed. - - - - - - - - - - , Mayor Christy stated that the annexation case for the City of Annexation. Jefferson has been entered in Court. - - - - - - - - - - Councilman Barry, Chairman of the Insurance Committee, reported Insurance that his Committee had met with Paul Kolb, Harold McDowell and Joe Committee ! Noonan for the preparation of specifications on City insurance �Report . The requests for bids have been advertised and the Committee would like to extend their thanks to Mr. Kolb, Mr. McDowell and Mr. Noonan for their help. ! could Councilman Barry moved that the specifications be adopted so they be sent to companies for bids . The Commission recommends that the request be denied, as this would be a case of spot zoning. 2. Request from Michael Riley in behalf of his client Gene Schenewerk to rezone a strip of land 1400' x 300 ' deep along Hwy. 50 W. The Commission reviewed the Preliminary Layout of the Millbroo4 and Sub Div. as presented by Don Walz, this land lies along Tanner " Zoning Bridge Road and is in the S Special Development District . The Commission reviewed Camelot South Sub Div. and Oak Valley !j West Sub Div. as presented by Central Missouri Professional Services as the final Plats of these two Sub Divisions . ! Motion passed. ;i - - - - - - - - - - !The following Resolution was introduced: ii WHEREAS, Section 10. 130 of Ordinance Number 7593 of the City 'jof Jefferson, Missouri, requires that a primary election be held !Ion the second Tuesday of March of each year; and Ii WHEREAS, the second Tuesday of March in 1974 falls on ,' March 12, 1974; and WHEREAS, Section 10. 150 of said Ordinance requires that all 11declarations for candidacy for any City Office must be filed with the City Clerk no later than 5:00 P.M. , of the third Monday of the '! month preceding the month in which the primary election is to be Resolution Iheld; and !Declaration I� WHEREAS, under the terms of the aforementioned section, all of Ideclarations of candidacy for the primary election to be held on ! Candidacy.
