S.pecial—Council ..Meeting.,_April.._5,...1.9.73..-- Minutes of�the Special Council Meeting held April 5th, 1973, 7:30 o'clock P.M. , Freshman High School, Jefferson City, Missouri. At the public meeting, held pursuant to notice, there was presented to the City Council, by the Housing Authority of the City of Jefferson, a detailed presentation of the proposed Capital West Project sponsored by the Housing and Urban Development. The purpose of this meeting was to provide a ublic hearing at which those persons affected by the Project could express to the City Council of the City of Jefferson their views , either pro or con, concerning said Project. After extensive presentation by Mr. Ted Herron Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Jefferson, a long question and answer session was conducted. A large number of citizens from the affected project area were in attendance, and propounded questions , made speeches and arguments, some for and some against the Project. All questions were as thoroughly answered as possible, and every consideration given to the inquiries of the members of the public present. Such question and answer session continued until there were no more questions , statements or arguments presented from the persons present. Whereupon the City Council took up and considered the two Resolutions: 1. Resolution of the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri a proving the amended Urban Renewal Plan and the feasibility of relocation for Project No. Mo. R-45. 2. Resolution approving an amended Cooperation Agreement with the Housing Authority of the City of Jefferson, Missouri. After thorough discussion of said Resolutions a Roll Call vote on each Resolution was taken, and each Resolution passed unanimously. Seven (7) Councilmen were present, namely: Councilmen Hager, Riner, Ortmeyer, Borgmeyer, Nacy, Collier and Gordon. The Resolutions were therefore adopted by theCity Council. Li
