Short and all concerned: ;;Police We, the members of the Jefferson City Police Betterment 'Personne Organization respectfully request that consideration for a !'Board. percentage raise be granted to the employees of the Jefferson City 'i Police Department along with the addition of a few fringe benefitsi such as paid hosp .talization for Police Department employees . i We further request the consideration of longevity pay for veteran officers with five (5) years or more of service with the department, an annual cost of living increase, to be based on the National Cost of Living Index, and complete compensation for overtime work. As all the officials of this city are aware, our departmnt has an extremely high turnover of personnel which can mostly be contributed to the low salary, lack of certain fringe benefits , letc. It is vitally important to the welfare of this community that the continued drain of veteran police officers be reversed.
